Practical and chic, this jacket is made from water-repellent Italian ripstop, crafted by the experts at Olmetex, a world-renowned mill established in 1954 in Italy’s Como region. Ripstop is a military innovation, often used in uniforms and parachutes — it’s woven using a special technique that creates a fine crosshatch pattern, making it both lightweight and incredibly resistant to tearing. It’s printed with a unique, tie-dye oil emulsion technique that (unsurprisingly) resembles oil on water or a heat map. It includes plenty of pockets for storing your odds and ends, whether you’re on a hike or commuting to work. It’s also fully lined, with Velcro tabs at the cuffs and a windguard at the hood to help protect you from the elements.
